Evaluation of Rice Varieties for Growth and Yield Performance in Aerobic Cultivation

A field experiment was carried out to identify the best suitable rice variety for aerobic cultivation in Cauvery delta region. Ten ruling varieties were sown two consecutive Kharif seasons, with regular nutrient and weed management practices under condition. Growth parameters viz.,plant height, leaf area index, root length dry weight studied. Similarly yield viz., panicles m-2, Dry matter production at flowering grain The study revealed that ANNA 4, proved be terms of (ie) 3.9 tonnesha-1 first season 3.8 second respectively. Pant height different stages maximum tillering, panicle initiation, harvest highest 4 followed by PMK 3.Similar case length,dry weight, m-2 stage. Leaf index ADT 45 IR50. above results reveal is most
